Wanted to test an old board bodge-job so went safe at low tide, which might have been lucky as looks like wind promised for later won't come. Hacked sides off to make narrower and found my old hips can't sit on its 23.5 inches, so need narrower. Also cut nose off to shorten to 5 feet.. Put mast at front and after bit of shuffling found best place for feet. Felt nice once up so think I'll prefer a smaller board, but need to find one I can start easily.
Wind very up and down but learnt a lot about what kind a smaller board I can cope with
